道教（尤其正一派）常用符箓按功能分为四大类，以下为最常见、流传最广的几种：

一、驱邪镇煞类（最核心）

1. 五雷符：雷法核心，借雷霆之力斩妖除魔、破诅咒、镇宅驱邪

2. 镇宅符：贴门楣/屋角，防邪祟、化宅煞、保家宅安宁
​
3. 平安符（护身符）：随身佩戴，挡灾祸、防小人、护出入平安
​
4. 斩鬼符：专克恶鬼怨灵，用于驱邪仪式

二、祈福纳祥类（最常用）

1. 文昌符：助学业、考试、仕途、开智慧

2. 财神符（五路财神符）：招财聚财、旺生意

3. 和合符：分人缘/夫妻和合，调和关系、化解矛盾

4. 太岁符：本命年/犯太岁专用，化解流年不顺

Common Taoist Talismans

In Taoism (especially the Zhengyi School), common talismans are categorized by function into four main types. Below are the most well‑known and widely used ones:

I. Exorcism & Protection (Core Functions)

1. Five Thunder Talisman: The core of thunder magic; invokes thunder’s power to slay evil spirits, break curses, and protect homes.
2. House‑Guarding Talisman: Placed above doors or corners; wards off evil, neutralizes negative energy, and ensures household peace.
3. Safety Talisman / Amulet: Carried for personal protection; averts misfortune, guards against harm, and ensures safe travels.
4. Ghost‑Slaying Talisman: Specifically targets malevolent spirits; used in exorcism rituals.

II. Blessing & Auspice (Daily Use)

1. Wenchang Talisman: Aids academic success, exams, career advancement, and wisdom.
2. Wealth Talisman (Five‑Way Wealth God): Attracts wealth, boosts business, and fosters prosperity.
3. Harmony Talisman: Improves relationships, resolves conflicts, and strengthens bonds (for family, couples, or social connections).
4. Tai‑Sui Talisman: For those in conflict with the year’s deity; mitigates bad luck during one’s birth‑animal year.

III. Healing & Wellness

1. Healing / Longevity Talisman: Restores health, dispels illness, and supports longevity.
2. Purification Talisman: Cleanses negative energy from the body; used before rituals.

IV. Ritual‑Specific

1. Salvation Talisman (Rebirth Talisman): Guides departed souls toward peace and transcendence.
2. Deity‑Invoking Talisman: Summons divine beings to assist in ceremonies.

Brief Notes

• Zhengyi School: Specializes in talismans, rituals, and helping the world; priests may live at home.
• Quanzhen School: Focuses on meditation and inner alchemy; priests are celibate and vegetarian.
• Authentic talismans are drawn and consecrated by ordained priests according to strict rituals.

道教自古有正一、全真两大传承，虽同属道门，修行方式却大不相同。

正一派历史最为悠久，修行方式较为入世。这一派的道士可以居家生活，娶妻生子，日常饮食与常人无异。但在举行斋醮科仪时，仍需持戒清净。正一派注重符箓法术，擅长通过斋醮仪式济世度人。

全真派兴起较晚，强调出家清修。这一派的道士必须住在道观，束发修行，严守素食戒律，不可婚娶。日常以诵经打坐为主，注重内丹修炼，追求性命双修的境界。全真祖师王重阳创立此派，就是希望修行者能远离尘缘，专心修道。

两派各有特色：
正一派讲究"和光同尘"，全真派崇尚"清静无为"
正一派侧重"济世利人"，全真派注重"修真养性"

The Two Major Schools of Taoism Are Worlds Apart! Zhengyi in the South and Quanzhen in the North—Do You Understand?

Since ancient times, Taoism has had two major lineages: Zhengyi and Quanzhen. Although both belong to the Taoist tradition, their cultivation methods are vastly different.

The Zhengyi School has the longest history and adopts a more worldly approach to cultivation. Taoists of this school can live at home, marry, and have children, with daily diets no different from ordinary people. However, during religious rituals and fast ceremonies, they must observe precepts and maintain purity. The Zhengyi School focuses on talismans and magical arts, excelling at helping and saving people through ritual ceremonies.

The Quanzhen School emerged later and emphasizes monastic seclusion and pure cultivation. Taoists of this school must reside in temples, tie their hair for cultivation, strictly observe vegetarian precepts, and are forbidden from marriage. Their daily practice centers on chanting scriptures and meditating, focusing on internal alchemy cultivation and pursuing the realm of unifying life essence and spiritual nature. Founded by Patriarch Wang Chongyang, this school was established to help practitioners stay away from worldly ties and focus wholeheartedly on the Tao.

Each school has its unique characteristics:

• Zhengyi advocates "blending light and merging with the dust" (harmonizing with the world), while Quanzhen upholds "purity and non-action."
• Zhengyi emphasizes "benefiting the world and helping others," while Quanzhen prioritizes "cultivating truth and nourishing nature."

The Tao follows nature, and no path of cultivation is inherently superior. Understanding these differences may help those destined to find the cultivation path that suits them.
